Dragon

Dragon

This dragon kind of happened by accident.
I tried so many different brushes, colors, and ways of painting that I honestly lost count. I kept looking for the “right” look, but somehow, nothing felt right.
I’ve always been drawn to traditional Chinese art and calligraphy. When I don’t know what to paint, I often pick up a brush and write. Sometimes, when I don’t know what to write, I copy Buddhist scriptures—even though I don’t recognize every character. Somehow, I’ve come to feel that not knowing is part of the process too.
Maybe this dragon is the same.
I wanted to paint something that looked like a dragon. Instead, I ended up with something that feels like one.
And somehow, I like it better this way.
